Dos and don’ts for practice leadership: Be your practice’s CEO — chief energy officer
A typical day at the practice can be stressful and tumultuous; however as the head of the practice, it is your responsibility to keep morale high by using specific staff-energizing techniques. Some examples of these techniques are: greet every staff member by name, compliment team members frequently, and acknowledge an exceptional on-the-job performance. As the practice’s CEO don’t rely on others to play this role for you because as the leader, you are who they look to first.

Dental technology: How the cloud is transforming dentistry
Many dental professionals are hesitant to move to the cloud because they are apprehensive of the new technology or simply because they are afraid of change. However, the cloud comes with an abundance of benefits for a dental professional that could quickly change this apprehension or fear. Some benefits include, easy access from multiple locations, advanced and secure data storage and automatic software updates. Read on for more information on why you should switch to the cloud!

‘Heroes Clinic’ offers free dentistry to student veterans
The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colo. has created a first-of-its-kind program called The Hero Clinic. This program provides free dental care to student veterans at CU Denver and Anschutz. So far, the clinic has provided dental care to 80 students and they expect to see at least 100 students by Thanksgiving.

Tips for a Healthier Thanksgiving
With the holidays right around the corner, food is the first to follow and with food comes certain oral health risks. In order to ensure you have a safe turkey day, here are a few helpful tips. First, make sure to eat a well-balanced meal. Protein will counteract the acid and sugar that is harsh on your teeth. Second, avoid sticky foods because sticky foods remain in your mouth longer and are harder to get rid of. Third, make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day. Water acts as a cleaning agent for all of the various foods you eat on turkey day. Read on for more information and tips!
