AEDs Take the Guesswork Out of Saving a Life
According to the American Heart Association, more than 320,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of hospitals in the United States each year. For this reason, external defibrillators are now accessible in many public places, including dental offices. AEDs offer people who suffer cardiac arrest the best chance of survival until emergency personnel arrive to help. Read on for more information on these life saving units.

This is How You Get Over Your Fear of Going to the Dentist
Researchers from King’s College London have discovered that cognitive behavioral therapy can help people get over their fear of the dentist. The problem with this fear is that people often wait to visit the dentist and as a result, they often need more serious treatment, which creates a vicious cycle that exacerbates fear.

Dentists: Have you checked how your phone is being answered?
You probably know who is answering your practice’s phones, but do you know how your phones are being answered? If not, visit the front desk and observe and listen. When listening, listen for how they are saying it, what questions they’re asking, how well they’re listening and whether or not they schedule the caller. Having the right person in this role can make or break your bottom line.
